Main KPIs in Radarly

The main indicators used to analyze posts in your Radarly projects are: 

  • Impressions
  • Estimated Reach
  • Virality
  • Engagement Score

Impression and Estimated Reach are relevant to compare share of voice between different platforms and at different period of time. Even if the absolute value of the indicators is interesting, it is the order of magnitude and the variation that mean.

Impressions of a post

DEFINITION

Global audience, maximum number of users that can see the post at the time of publication

GENERAL FORMULA

General formula for social media sources:

Impressions of a post = nb of followers at the published date + (nb of shares of the post* x average number of followers*)

* nb of shares & average number of followers are not available for all social media sources


General formula for web sources :

Average nb of page views / nb of new pages created on the website during 1 month

Estimated Reach of a post 

DEFINITION

Estimated reach of a post : estimated number of users exposed to the post when it was published

GENERAL FORMULA

Estimated reach of a post = impressions of the post x platform reach ratio

Virality and Engagement: where to find them? 

When you have a list of posts in the listening part of your Radarly project (Posts, Clusters, Analytics Details), you have the possibility to categorize publications by virality and engagement score. 

How to do that?

By default, the publications are sorted by publication date.

You can change the ranking by clicking on the small arrow (1) or switch between ascending and descending order by clicking on the big arrow (2).

Virality Score

What is the virality score?

Virality quantifies the spread of a post, its magnitude

How is it calculated?

The calculation of virality is different for each platform:

Twitter Number of retweets
Facebook Total number of shares (including share of shares)
Instagram Number of comments
Web

Number of webpage, facebook posts and tweets in our database including the URL (or a shorten URL for Twitter) of the post

 

Engagement Score

What does Engagement mean?

Engagement is a measurement of public involvment to a post

How is it calculated?

There are various ways to calculate engagement for each plateform: 

Twitter

Amount of retweets + amount of comments + amount of time a tweet is favourited

Facebook

Total amount of shares + Total amount of comments + Total amount of likes (including likes on shared posts)

Instagram

Amount of likes + amount of comments

Web

Amount of web page + amount of Facebook posts in our database with the URL of the post + amount of tweets in our database with the shorten URL of the post + amount of comments on the website page
